My friend Marian's son and his family were in New Orleans during Christmas break.

When my dad retired from the Navy, we moved into the French Quarter on Royal Street. I asked Marian's family to take some pictures of the house we lived in.

I got these tonight!

The house was owned and occupied by several generations of one of my favorite High School teachers. We lived on the second floor in the Slave's Quarters in back of the courtyard. It was a fun and very interesting time.

In the street front second floor apartment, lived a movie producer. While I lived there, some scenes of a movie he produced, entitled Concrete Cowboys, were filmed in our courtyard. We all stood on the indoor balconies and watched with excitement as the scenes were filmed. Life was so different 30 years ago, though it still doesn't take much to entertain me!

I'm glad they could do it for you.
