New Year Knitting

There are lots of projects planned here in Doulaland for the new year. I'm knitting some mittens for Khi, though we're not sure if he'll need them this year. Winter seems to have eluded us in Southern Ohio. If you're looking, there is a great free mitten pattern here

For Christmas, my sweet Benny gave me a full bundle of Caramel Un-Spun Icelandic wool. I am planning a coat similar to the one in Knitting Around.

I had been keeping (er. mostly loosing) my assortment of knitting needles, crochet hooks, tape measure etc. in an old Christmas candy tin. Benny bought me this lovely wooden box to replace The Can

This box is much larger than the can, so I'll have to work on filling it!

I'm still spindle spinning some fine Shetland for a shawl. I only bought 1/2 pound of roving but at laceweight, it's lasting really long.

I'm intrigued by The Stichin' Seminarian's Year of the FO idea. But.... nah. Too many things catch my eye as I go along.

I don't think you'll have any trouble filling that beautiful box before long. Its amazing to me how when you enlarge a container for some collection, the collection mysteriously grows along with it.
