Learning

Kaity and Khi are having a great school year. We're about to add guitar lessons to their cirriculum. We won these 2 classical guitars for them on ebay. Khi's is 1/2 size and Kaity's is 3/4.

Jonathan will be their instructor. Since he moved out and is so busy with school, we don't get to see him as often as we would like. Having a scheduled evening with him every week will be nice.

I've been inspired by Sara Lamb to learn Inkle Weaving. I got a mini inkle loom from Finniwig Studios and am following Sara's Inkle Weaving 101 tutorial.

I made it through warping just fine.

I moved the finished warp after a few shuttle passes, and am having a difficult time keeping everything even.

It may be because I put a warp too wide for my first band. I hope it's just a learning curve.

I'm using crochet cotton. I plan to turn the band into a coin purse for Kaity. She is showing a lot of interest and helping with this project. I think it only fitting the band be turned into something for her.

We'll see....

Thank you for the inquiries

Thank you for all the e-mail, cards, and gifts.

My son, his wife, and their daughter were untited as a family on Sunday morning.

They waited a very long time and now their dreams have been fulfilled.

Please continue to support their family with your prayers.

The End of the One Skein Exchange

Michelle from NH was my AMAZING One Skein Angel. She stepped up when the first participant stepped down. In the final package, she gifted me with all of this!

The large ball is 6 oz of hand dyed top for a pair of socks. Next to it is an ounce of hand dyed alpaca top. Michelle knit the socks from a pattern in the One Skein book. And the package next to the socks is filled with hand dyed mohair locks. Just like the last box, it's all in my favorite colorway!

Thank you so much Michelle. You truly have been an Angel!

After the puppy lace pillow adventure (Sorry, I was too aggravated to think to take a picture before I threw it all away), I knit the Double Cable Scarf for my exchange partner. I'm happy with the way it turned out. I hope she enjoys it!

This exchange has been fun. There is a new one for spinners starting. I'm about to begin my holiday gift making, so I'm going to pass on that one.
