Oh Joy!

Look what the UPS guy brought today!

Joy.jpg

Quite awhile ago, a friend on SheepThrills wrote about planning to sell her Ashford Joy wheel. She had an Aldon Amos wheel ordered. I asked for first right of refusal.

Last week the e-mail came! And today the Joy is mine!

I'm off to spin and watch TV for the evening.

Lemonade!

In the midst of the putrid bitterness being spewed at the parents of my Grandbaby, I received some loveliness in the mail today, from my friend Rose

On the left is 4 ounces of velvety CASHMERE! On the right is 4 ounces of shimmery SILK!

I'm going to spin a laceweight yarn of 1 ply each and then decide what to make, probably an heirloom dedication blanket.

For a great laugh, check out Lynne's post from Saturday! Thanks Lynne, we can use all the laughter we can find right now.

Hello There It's Been Awhile.....

I wish I could say I haven't been writing because Life Is So WONDERFUL! and there hasn't been time. Or even that I've just been busy. But that isn't so.

First, I'd like to thank all of you for the beautiful replies, both on here and privately, regarding my son, his fiance, and their baby. I wish I could bottle all the love you've expressed and pour it, like a healing oil, over them daily.

Our family continues to love on the kids and support them. But, as Einstein said, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The vehement storm that has been unleashed on these two, by the ones they should be able to trust the most, could only be rivaled by the deepest pits of Hell itself.

In other news....

The Haunted Circus began this week end.

My oldest man child is playing the part of a dead guy who puts beauties in a trance and kills them.

This is him, before the show, with his dance partner.

And earlier, Killing his Sister

Normally, I would have fixed the red eyes. But I thought them fitting for Halloween.
