Pitiful Cat

We have the most pitiful cat in the world. She's my daugter's cat. Her name is Pretty. She's the best basement defender from mice we've ever known. But she's a wuss cat when it comes to comfort.

If it is above 60 degrees outside, Pretty can be found lying on the cool bricks by the fireplace. We've even caught her lying in the bathtub. On really hot days, she finds a spot in front of one of the air conditioners, and doesn't move.

If it's below 60 degrees outside, Pretty can be found lying on one of the furnace registers, sucking up all the heat. Tonight it is 25 degrees. Pretty has made herself at home on my electric blanket. Nothing like having to fight a cat for a spot on your own bed!

Pretty is so pretty! I gave your link to stonering from gestaltknitting. She mentioned doulas on her blog- www.http://gestaltknitting.com

I am anxious to hear about the life of a doula- how fascinating!

Hello! I found your blog because. . . . never mind, see Annie's comment above mine. :-) Welcome to knitblogging.

I'm not doulaing currently, I'm too sleep deprived by life in general to voluntarily add more sleep depravation to my life. But I suspect the scales will tip the other way in due time.

What is it about those gray kitties! My cat, Frances, also lays on top of the heating vent that is on the floor upstairs. I'm convinced that one day we're going to notice that she's been slow-cooked!
